Drop-in Weddings on May 23

Do you dream of getting married but wish you could avoid all the planning and unnecessary stress leading up to the ceremony? Come to Bohus Fortress during our drop-in wedding times and exchange your vows in the Fars Hatt Tower!

We’ll provide non-alcoholic sparkling wine and can arrange bridal bouquets for those who’d like them. We also have a photographer available for bookings. Don’t forget to bring your engagement certificate!

The cost of a walk-in wedding ceremony is 3,000 SEK per couple, with the option to bring up to 15 guests. Payment is made at the entrance cottage before the ceremony, where you’ll also check in upon arrival. Please note that in the event of a canceled wedding or a late cancellation (at least 14 days in advance), the full cost will be charged retroactively.

Each civil marriage ceremony is subject to an administrative fee of 500 SEK. This fee is billed retroactively by the Municipality of Kungälv to the individual couples.

Accessibility

We would like to inform you that the path leading up to Fars Hatt is not wheelchair-accessible, and you will need to climb a few steps to reach the wedding ceremony. We will, of course, be happy to help by suggesting alternative seating options if necessary.
