Bohus Fortress is located in a very strategic area for centuries. With a land border in the Göta River and the town of Kongahälla as an important Norwegian stronghold in the south, the area developed early and there are a lot of interesting historical remains for those who like history. Below you will find some of the gems that may be worth a visit when you are in the area. As a resident of the area, you often return to these to soak up the beautiful environment, enjoy nature and bird life.

Some of the sites have designated barbecue areas and information signs. The municipality has also marked trails if it is a slightly longer hike from the parking lot or the nearest road. We are grateful for this. However, remember to take any rubbish and the like from the site.
