History
Mariebergs Gård has been inhabited since ancient times. There is a flint knapping site, an ancient castle from the 400s and a burial ground from the Stone Age.
Not least, the farm was owned for a period by Sven Andersson Ranck who was appointed commander of Bohus Fortress in 1658.

Marieberg Farm
The ancient farm is today managed by the Karmark family, who control the entire process from breeding and slaughter to serving. Their animals graze in summer in nature reserves around Kungälv.
The land has been farmed using organic methods since 1995 and the associated farm slaughterhouse is only 1 km from Bohus Fästning.
